Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Turkish Catalysis Society and the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 8th Anatolian School of Catalysis (ASC-8).

Building on a long-standing tradition that began in 2006, the Anatolian School of Catalysis has grown into a well-recognized platform for advanced training and scientific exchange in the field of catalysis. Each edition of the school has aimed to bring together early-career researchers, graduate students, and experts from academia and industry to foster a deeper understanding of catalytic science and its applications.

The ASC-8 is designed to provide comprehensive and structured training covering both the fundamental principles and applied dimensions of catalysis. The scientific program encompasses homogeneous, heterogeneous, bio-, photo-, and electrocatalysis, as well as computational catalysis, together with core topics in catalyst synthesis, characterization techniques, and performance evaluation. Through lectures delivered by distinguished scientists, the school aims to equip participants with a broad yet integrated perspective on modern catalysis research.

Beyond scientific content, the ASC-8 places strong emphasis on career development, responsible research practices, and scientific integrity. The school promotes a science-centered approach grounded in universal ethical values, encouraging participants to focus on research quality, critical thinking, and long-term scientific impact rather than metric-driven indicators.

We believe that the 8th Anatolian School of Catalysis will provide a stimulating environment for learning, discussion, and networking, enabling both structured interactions and informal exchanges among participants and lecturers. We hope that these interactions will inspire new ideas, collaborations, and perspectives that extend well beyond the duration of the school.

We sincerely thank you for your interest in the 8th Anatolian School of Catalysis and look forward to welcoming you to this exciting scientific and educational event.

With kind regards,

Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Karatok    Assoc. Prof. M. Oluş Özbek
